3 reasons why Luminaire might not retire from MPL ID
The EVOS superstar has a jam-packed year ahead.
After winning theMPL ID S7 Grand FinalwithEVOS Legendsand grabbing the Finals MVP award, there’s no doubt that Ihsan “Luminaire” Besarik is one of the best players in Indonesia’sMobile Legendspro scene.
While he’s currently celebrating an MPL ID win, Luminaire has always had a penchant for championships. Considered to be one of the best tank/support players in the league, he lifted both the MPL ID Season 4 andM1 World Championshiptrophies with EVOS Legends.
Taking a break in Season 6, the EVOS player returned to full form in Season 7 as a damage support mage, making a significant impact on the team’s gameplay.
Despite such success, Luminaire has spoke about the exhaustion he feels from being a pro player and it many trainings. He even hinted at a possible retirement after Season 7, but from the looks of it, we may be seeing the EVOS support conquer the stage once again.
Here are three reasons why Luminaire might hold off retiring as a pro MLBB player:
Luminaire could become the captain of EVOS Legends
Luminaire has evolved into a better pro player since his last MPL appearances in Seasons 4 and 5. The EVOS support is more mature, and can be seen as a leader to the rest of the squad.
The current captain is stillGustian “REKT”, but Luminaire has shown that he bears the qualities of a captain withhow vocal he isin and out of the game.
Knowing that REKT’s player contract is about to expire, Luminaire has a solid chance to become the next captain. He has potential to turn into a franchise player who carries the White Tiger banner for years to come.
MSC 2021 and M3 is happening later this year
With an MPL and an M1 championship already checked on his list, Luminaire has yet to make history in theMobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup.
As champions of MPL ID S7, EVOS Legends has already secured a slot in the inter-region tournament in June, giving Luminaire an opportunity to add another championship under his belt.
M3 could be another potential challenge for Luminaire. Having previous experience alongside REKT andMuhammed “Wann” Ridwanin M1, the EVOS Legends veteran brings an edge to how they can approach the tournament and the grand final.
Plus, if they can conquer MPL ID S8 with flying colors, Luminaire and his EVOS Legends crew could have a shot at grabbing their second-ever world championship.
Luminaire has potential to represent Indonesia at the SEA Games 2021
It’s no secret that Luminaire was one of the overlooked players atthe SEA Games two years ago. At the time, he was the only EVOS Legends player who was not selected to play for the MLBB national team of Indonesia.
Seeing as howthe 31st SEA Gamesis happening at the end of the year, Luminaire will have to keep showing his top form at MSC and MPL ID Season 8 to solidify his chances of representing Indonesia.
