31st SEA Games Mobile Legends: Full roster of every country competing
The group stage starts on May 18.
The 31st Southeast Asian Games (31st SEA Games) will feature prominent esports titleMobile Legends: Bang Bangin the multi-sports event.
Three years ago at the 30th SEA Games,The Philippines bagged the gold medalafter an intense 3-2 battle against Indonesia in the grand final, while Malaysia finished third.
This time, there are seven teams joining the competition, namely, The Philippines, Singapore, Laos, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Myanmar. Cambodia and Thailand have decided to not send any delegates this year.
Here are all the qualified Mobile Legends: Bang Bang teams for the 31st SEA Games.
31st SEA Games Mobile Legends: Bang Bang representatives
Philippines
Team Philippines is mainly composed of players from the M3 World Championship winner,Blacklist International. Danerie James “Wise” Del Rosario andJohnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villalunawill lead the squad in its campaign to win a second gold medal for the country.
Singapore
Four of five representatives of Singapore are fromEVOS SG. The squad is composed of veterans hoping to secure Singapore’s first-ever gold medal in an international Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament.
Laos
Niightmare Esports secured their slot at the 31st SEA Games after a solid performance in the Laos qualifiers. They were also the country’s representatives duringMSC 2021. However, they failed to qualify for the playoffs after losing to Execration, EVOS SG, and Todak in the group stage.
Vietnam
The players from Vietnam, originally from Cyber Exe, also fought tooth and nail in their country’s qualifier. Despite having little to no experience playing against international teams, the team hopes to bank on their chemistry to win.
Indonesia
Indonesia handpicked its players for the tournament. Most of their players come from the big three teams in the region, namely,ONIC Esports,EVOS Legends, andMPL ID Season 9 champion RRQ Hoshi. The representatives will have a chance to avenge their grand final loss against the Philippines in the 30th SEA Games.
Malaysia
MPL MY Season 9 champion Todakwill represent Malaysia this time around. Team Malaysia was able to get the first place standing in their group last 30th SEA Games but only finished third in the playoffs after losing to Indonesia and the Philippines in the second round.
Myanmar
Players from Trend Esports make up most of Myanmar’s delegation. The team will be competing against international teams for the first time and will try to capitalize on their success in the local scene.
The group stage will be from May 18 to 19. The playoffs and the grand final will be on May 20.
