BTS Pro Series Season 8 SEA: Schedule, format, results, where to watch
BTS Pro Series Season 8 SEA starts on September 7.
Beyond the Summit has announced its latest Dota 2 tournament, the BTS Pro Series Season 8 SEA. The tournament will feature some of the strongest teams in SEA, and includes anOpen Qualifierfor the region.
Beyond The Summit holds the Pro Series tournament every few months. The tournament helps teams stay sharp, get experience, and win prize money while waiting for the next Valve event, in this case,The International 10.
This tournament will be conducted in three stages.
Open Qualifiers
The Open Qualifiers will be open to 64 teams in the SEA region. It will run from September 4 to September 5. The top team will advance to the Group Stage.
Group Stage
Running from September 7 to September 19, the Group Stage will feature the eight invited teams and two teams from the Open Qualifier.
Playoffs
The playoffs will feature the top eight teams from the Group Stage, and run from September 22. The grand final will take place on September 26.
Format of BTS Pro Series Season 8 SEA
The Open Qualifier will be a single-elimination best-of-one except for the semifinals, where matches will be best-of-threes.
All playoff matches will be best-of-three in a double-elimination format, except the Grand Final which will be a best-of-five series.

The tournament is open to all Dota 2 teams in the SEA region. Eight teams have been directly invited to the main event. The remaining two teams will begin their journey in the Open Qualifier.

BTS Pro Series Season 8 SEA prize pool
The prize pool for the BTS Pro Series 8 will be US$40,000 distributed among teams, with the winner receiving the lion’s share.
