Midnight Coup’s PvP god roll has some excellent perk combinations, which make it one of the best Handcannons to take into the Final Shape.

When it comes to PvP, range is the attribute to focus on, and Midnight Coup is no different. To strike down other players from a distance easily using this Handcannon, it’s best to go for Hammer-Forged Rifling and Accurized Rounds for Barrel and Magazine, respectively, as they both add +10 Range.

Midnight Coup has a decent aim-assist, but you can enhance it further with the Moving Target perk in the third column. With this, you can get more aim-assist while ADS.

It’s a subtle addition but makes a huge difference in panic-stricken moments. Explosive Payload is a great alternative if you want even more range and for flinching enemies, though we recommend using the latter only if you prefer a more aggressive approach.

As for the fourth-column perk, Zen Moment is the best option since it can reduce weapon recoil, and Midnight Coup (like most Handcannons in Destiny 2) can greatly benefit from that. It can also reduce flinching, which is always helpful when facing other Guardians.

Destiny 2 Midnight Coup god roll PvE explained

Midnight Coup’s PvE effectiveness is even better, with some great perk combinations.

For PvE, it’s best to focus on handling instead of range for Barrel, as you would mostly use it in close combat.

Appended Magazine will grant you increased magazine size, which means no frequent reloading. Tactical Magazine is a good choice if you want increased reload speed instead.

For the third-column perk, you could go with either Explosive Payload or Firefly. Both can proc AOE damage, but Firefly can also increase reload speed, which makes it slightly more efficient.

For the fourth-column perk, you could go with Kinetic Tremors or One for All. Kinetic Tremors synergize well with Explosive Payload and can inflict another AOE attack, whereas One for All can temporarily increase the base damage.

The Explosive Payload-Kinetic Termor combination is particularly effective in ads-clearing. On the other hand, One for All is more beneficial when taking down yellow-bar or boss enemies.

That concludes our Destiny 2 Midnight Coup god roll guide.
