Dota 2 7.21d update released with minor nerfs to Mars

The newest hero may be a little too OP, so Valve is making some adjustments.

The latest Dota 2 update, patch 7.21d, has been released following the conclusion of the 2019 Stockholm Major, which saw Vici Gaming triumph 3-2 over Virtus.pro. The patch contains the expected nerfs to the newly-released Mars, buffs to several out-of-meta heroes, and makes the Dire hard camp pull easier to pull off.

Mars was pretty well-balanced and had a fairly straightforward toolkit when he was released, prompting only minor reductions to the vision granted by Spear of Mars and an increase in manacost for God’s Rebuke. A reduction in his strength gain will be more noticeable however, as it means he will deal less damage and have lower health pool than before.

Heroes who haven’t seen much play due to nerfs from previous patches, such as Arc Warden, Enchantress, and Storm Spirit, among others, have received minor buffs to make them more competitive against the more ‘in-meta’ heroes of this patch.

One other notable change in 7.21d makes it easier for Dire to pull their hard camp — a welcome change considering the distinct advantage Radiant previously had, which let them had more flexible lanes compared to their counterparts.
