Evil Geniuses’ team captain,Tal “Fly” Aizik, recently shared some interesting insights from the ONE Esports Singapore Major in an interview with Kaci Aitchison.
Before their lower bracket elimination match against Elephant during Day 1 ofThe International 10’s playoffs, Fly was asked about the infamous “?” comment made byInvictus Gaming’s Zhou “Emo” Yi.

It was the rallying cry Invictus Gaming used after pulling off an incredible comeback victory against Evil Geniuses in the third game of theONE Esports Singapore Major’s grand final.
Fly reveals Evil Geniuses’ reaction to Emo’s “?” during the ONE Esports Singapore Major
The North American Dota 2 superstar squad looked untouchable throughout the ONE Esports Singapore Major.
After dominating the first season of DPC NA’s upper division, they advanced straight into the SG Major’s playoffs. After three convincing upper bracket wins, Evil Geniuses found themselves up against Invictus Gaming, who qualified from the lower bracket into the grand final.
Evil Geniuses were on the verge of winning the ONE Esports Singapore Major with a clean 3-0 sweep, up until Invictus Gaming pulled off an incredible comeback in game three.
After the said game, Emo dropped an unexpected “?” comment aimed at Evil Geniuses. As a result, Invictus Gaming rallied together, and pulled off an amazing 3-2 reverse sweep that earned them theONE Esports Singapore Major championship belt.
When he was asked how EG was affected by Emo’s “?” taunt, Fly explained that they weren’t really affected by it at all.
“I don’t think any of us cared. No one even mentioned it, actually,” said Fly. “We’re playing a best-of-five grand final. Sometimes you don’t notice these things, at least I don’t. It was just funny and a little random, I guess.”
Fly is confident that they’ve learned from their mistakes leading up to TI10
Reflecting on their reverse sweep loss during the ONE Esports Singapore Major grand final, Fly explained, “I’m very confident if we had to replay every single one of those games, we would probably win 3-0.”
The North American Dota 2 squad survived their lower bracket best-of-one elimination match againstElephantduring Day 1 of TI10’s main event. EG now awaits the loser of Virtus.pro and Vici Gaming’s upper bracket match at TI10.
