Former SKT member MaRin is now a married man
The 2015 Worlds champion has settled down.
RetiredLeague of Legendsplayer and iconic SK Telecom T1 top-laner Jang “MaRin” Gyeong-hwan has finally tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend.
It was a rather small wedding ceremony where only family members of both parties were invited to celebrate the joyous occasion. Even though MaRin kept it a secret, word got out among his fans which he addressed during his live stream.
“Thank you. I didn’t say anything but all of you know about it already. Who posted about it? I don’t understand. It was a small ceremony with just family present,” according to atranslated tweetby Kevin Kim.
The Worlds champion was already in a serious relationship even before his 2013 debut as a substitute player for SKT. He doesn’t really keep his partner as a secret from everyone, but fans can tell that MaRin is a very private person.
When asked what he misses the most in South Korea during his time with LPL team LGD Gaming, this was his answer:

He may have retired from the professional scene, but fans still catch a glimpse of this phenomenal Korean player from time to time. His latest project was withRiot Games Korea’s LoL the Next, where he serves as one of the mentors alongside veteran players Lee “Wolf” Jae-wan, Heo “PawN” Won-seok, and Kim “PraY” Jong-in.
계정은 만들어 달라는 요청하에 만들게 되었습니다. 별로 자랑할만한 일도 아니고 당연히 해야 할 일이었기에 어제 식을 올렸습니다. 어쩌다가 알게 되어 축하해 주신 많은 분들께 감사드리며, 시기상 비공개 소규모 식이었기에 왜 결혼식에 대해 알리지 않았느냐는 질문도 많이 받았으나 현재 경기를 뛰어야 하는 선수들이 초대되어 혹여나 불미스러운 일이 생길까 조용히 치렀습니다. 이미 은퇴한지 오래된 저의 결혼식에 소란스러워지진 않을까 염려되는 제 생각을 잘 헤아려주신 주변 분들과 팬분들께 다시 한번 감사드립니다. 덕분에 별 탈 없이 무사히 결혼식을 마쳤습니다. 덧붙여 여럿 궁금해하시던(?) 제 웨딩 사진 두 컷 올려봅니다. 마지막으로 연장된 코로나 2.5단계 잘 견디길 바라며 파이팅넘치는 월요일 되기를 바랍니다.
