Full roster of every team competing in LCS Spring 2023
NA is ready for war.
TheLeague of Legendsaction returns to North America with the LoL Championship Series (LCS) Spring season, starting January 28.
The LCS saw a chaotic offseason with almost all organizations making moves. Team Liquid has created the first all-Korean roster in the league, while 100 Thieves scored big by signing two LCS legends.
With the introduction of the global Season Kickoff event, the LCS will no longer hold the Lock-In tournament. The Spring season will now start a week earlier on January 26.
Which squad will dominate the NA region? Here’s the full roster of every team competing in the LCS Spring 2023.
100 Thieves
Building around star jungler Can “Closer” Çelik for the 2023 season, 100 Thieves signed a legendary LCS duo.
Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng has come out of retirement and is now the starting bot laner of 100 Thieves. Fellow LCS legend Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg also joins as the team’s mid laner.
Cloud9
With the departure of veteran mid laner Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen, Cloud9 picks up a young EU recruit to round out their roster, Dimitri “Diplex” Ponomarev. The 19-year-old German player spent almost two years on Vitality.Bee, Team Vitality’s academy roster.
CLG
Following a stellar fourth-place finish in the 2022 Summer regular season, CLG will continue with an unchanged roster.
CLG’s roster for the upcoming Spring season consists of Niship “Dhokla” Doshi, Juan “Contractz” Arturo Garcia, Cristian “Palafox” Palafox, Fatih “Luger” Güven, and Philippe “Poome” Lavoie-Giguere.
Dignitas
Dignitas gears up for the 2023 season with a new starting five.
They’ve acquired LCS veterans Lucas “Santorin” Larsen and Jensen, and EU star top laner İrfan “Armut” Berk Tükek. Armut won back-to-back LEC championships with MAD Lions in 2021.
Evil Geniuses
Evil Geniusestweaks its current roster by adding two NA top guns.
Kim “Ssumday” Chan-ho and Ian Victor “FBI” Huang join the EG crew as its starting top laner and bot laner respectively.
Ssumday and FBI previously competed on100 Thieves, where they led the organization to its first-ever LCS championship back in 2021. The duo also had a taste of international play, with two back-to-back Worlds appearances in the last two years.
FlyQuest
FlyQuest starts fresh with a brand new squad made up of veterans and newcomers.
The Showcase Greatness organization signed Worlds 2013 champion and five-time LCS winnerJeong “Impact” Eon-young. The top laner recently played for Evil Geniuses and made his seventh Worlds appearance in 2022.
LCK players Lee “VicLa” Dae-kwang and Lee “Prince” Chae-hwan will make their LCS debut in FlyQuest. Prince led Liiv SANDBOX to an incredible third-place finish in LCK Summer 2022.
Golden Guardians
With Eric “Licorice” Ritchie and Trevor “Stixxay” Hayes staying put, Golden Guardians signed a Korean triple threat to complete their 2023 roster.
Former PSG Talon player Kim “Gori” Tae-woo will make his LCS debut alongside fellow Korean players Kim “River” Dong-woo and Choi “huhi”Jae-hyun. River and huhi spent the 2022 season as part of Dignitas and 100 Thieves respectively.
Immortals
Immortals adds three new recruits to its existing core of Mohamed “Revenge” Kaddoura and Shane “Kenvi” Kenneth Espinoza.
The organization signed NA players Nicholas “Ablazeolive” Antonio Abbott and Edward “Tactical” Ra. Ablazeolive made waves as the rising mid laner of Golden Guardians in 2021-2022.
Former NASR Turkey player Kadir “Fleshy” Kemiksiz also joins as IMT’s starting support.
Team Liquid
Team Liquidushers in a new era with the first all-Korean roster in the LCS.
Hong “Pyosik” Chang-hyeon will make his LCS debut as Team Liquid’s starting jungler. The Korean player recentlywon Worlds 2022 with LCK team DRX.
After spending Summer 2022 in the LPL with FunPlus Phoenix, Park “Summit” Woo-tae returns to the LCS as TL’s new top laner.
Team Liquid has also signed former T1 Worlds 2015 champion Jang “MaRin” Gyeong-hwan as its new head coach for the next two years.
TSM
Coming off a seventh-place finish in Summer 2022, TSM looks to improve with two new names in their starting five.
Lee “Bugi” Seong-yeop steps into the jungler role for TSM. He previously played for Estral Esports in the LLA, where they ended the 2022 season as runners-up in the Closing playoffs.
TSM also signed former Dignitas Academy bot laner Toàn “Neo” Trần. Prior to his time in Academy, Neo had a starting position on the organization’s LCS roster.
