Gen.G wins big at LCK 2022 Summer Awards, star player earns extra KR₩9 million

After nine weeks of regular season competition, theLeague of LegendsChampions Korea (LCK)has announced the winners of the LCK Summer 2022 Awards, which were determined by the votes of 40 officials.
While T1 reigned supreme inLCK Spring, Summer was all aboutGen.G. The Tiger Nation team finished the regular season in first place with a near-perfect 17-1 record. Their efforts did not go unnoticed, with four Gen.G players being selected for the All-LCK first team.
Park “Ruler” Jae-hyukalso achieved a Triple Crown, winning the All-LCK first team, Player of the Split, and regular season MVP awards. The Gen.G bot laner earned a total of KR₩9 million (US$6,800) from these LCK Summer 2022 awards alone.
Here are the winners of the LCK Summer 2022 Awards, including the All-LCK teams, Player of the Split, regular season MVP, Rookie of the Year, and Coach of the Year.
All-LCK third team
Player of the Split
Sharing the top spot of the Player of the Game standings with 1,200 points, Gen.G Ruler and LSB Prince are both selected for the Player of the Split award.
Regular season MVP
Ruler gets selected as the split’s regular season MVP with 21 first place votes. The Gen.G superstar clocked in a 7.6 KDA with 213 kills and 190 assists by the end of the Summer season.
Coach of the Year
Go “Score” Dong-bin secures one more award for Gen.G as Coach of the Year. In his first year of coaching, Score led the LCK team to a dominant 17-1 record in Summer, with 14 of the wins being 2-0 victories.
Rookie of the Year
KT Rolster’s Lee “VicLa” Dae-kwang is selected for Rookie of the Year at the LCK Summer 2022 Awards.
The rookie mid laner played a crucial role in securing KT Rolster’s first LCK playoffs appearance in five splits.
