Is former MPL PH strategist Coach Dale joining Myanmar’s Falcon Esports?

These past few months saw the rise of multiple MPL and non-MPL teams importing players and coaches from the Philippines. From former ONIC PHKairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsoljoining Indonesia’s ONIC Esports to Malaysia’s Team SMG recruitingJaylord “Hatred” Gonzales, the list goes on and on.
However, another region and team might be joining the trend — Myanmar’sFalcon Esports.
The organization recently hinted onFacebookthat a new member could join the team soon. While details are still scarce, there are clues that point toward the new addition being former MPL PH head coachDale “Coach Dale” Vitug.
Why Coach Dale could be Falcon Esports’ newest recruit
Numerous fans in the comments section said that the hand in the photo is that of the retired MPL PH coach. Filipino caster Dan “Leo” Cabungay even commented that he knows whose arm is in the picture.
Coach Dale himself shared the photo on hisFacebookpage with two shushing face emojis. Furthermore, his post yesterday revealed that he had queued up with Falcon’s junglerKenneth “Kenn” Heinand EXP laner Hein “yellowflash” Min Khant in rank.
The player-turned-coach is one of the most decorated tacticians in the league. He started his career in Season 2 as a player for Finesse Solid before becoming Sterling Global Dragons’ head coach in Season 4.
He then joinedAura PHin Season 7 before the organization rebranded toECHOthe next season. After they were eliminated by Smart Omega in the first round of the playoffs, Coach Dale announced his retirement from the league soon after.
He was also the head coach when SIBOL’s MLBB representatives took home the gold medal at the30th Southeast Asian Gamesin 2019.
If confirmed, he will be tasked with coaching players like yellowflash, Kenn, Pyae Sone “justiN” Khant, Yair “Ability” Naung, Silent, Zippx, Swan Htet “RubyDD” Aung, and Min “Naomi” Ko Ko.
Falcon Esports finished fourth at theMobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup 2022(MSC 2022). They were also the only non-MPL team to reach the playoffs after taking the top spot in Group A and eliminating powerhouseONIC Esportsin the group stage.
