While the official trailer for the upcoming season has not been released yet, members of the cast and production team have been dropping hints about what viewers can anticipate.

Ella recently returned to the studio for some ADR (automated dialog replacement) work on the season 2 finale, where she found herself moved to tears, as revealed in aninterview with the online publication TechRadar.

The Jinx voice actor believes viewers will cry too upon watching the second season.

“It’s devastating, and nobody will feel good after watching it,” she said.

Ella plays Jinx in the series, the younger sister of Vi (Hailee Steinfeld), a skilled inventor and marksman, known for her chaotic and unpredictable nature.

Aside from Jinx, Ella Purnell is known for her other roles in both film and television, including Emma Bloom in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, a young Maleficent in Maleficent, and Lucy MacLean in the live action adaptation of the Fallout video game series.

While Ella provided hints about what fans can expect, Riot Games has kept the plot of the second season tightly under wraps.

Theending of season 1had everyone curious about the fate of the Mel Medarda (Toks Olagundoye) when Jinx launched a Hextech-powered rocket toward the Piltover tower where the council was meeting.

Season 2 of Arcane is the sequel to the animated series by Riot Games and Fortiche Production. The first season starred League of Legends champions Jinx and Vi and discussed their backstories — how this pair of siblings grew up together in Zaun and how they acquired their powers.

Arcane season 2 releases in November 2024.
