Lakia joins Japanese Valorant team IGZIST ahead of VCT 2022 season
Lakia debuts with IGZIST on February 15.
Korean Valorant pro playerKim “Lakia” Jong-minhas been transferred by his previous organization,DRX Vision Strikers, to newly formed Japanese esports organization IGZIST.
Lakiawill compete for the Japan region in the upcomingVCT 2022 season. He joins fellow Korean pro players like Crazy Raccoon’s Byeon “Munchkin” Sang-beom andNorthception’s Park “Seoldam” Sang-minin offering their services to a Japanese roster.
DRX Vision Strikers transfers Lakia to IGZIST for VCT 2022 season
Lakia spent the earlier part of 2021 withNUTURN, helping them qualify forVCT Stage 2 Masters Reykjavik, the first-ever international Valorant LAN event.
The 21-year-old pro playerjoined Vision Strikers in July, then the mostdominant roster in Korean Valorantand best known for their undefeated 104-game win streak. He was a member of the team’ssix-man rosterthat had players swap out for each other depending on which map was going to be played.
However, he only made two international match appearances for Vision Strikers. The first one was when the team lost to Gambit Esports 1-2 in a quarterfinals match duringVCT Stage 3 Masters Berlin. The last time Lakia played for his former organization was in another 1-2 loss against Cloud9 Blue at theValorant Champions Group D elimination match.
AfterVision Strikerswas acquired by Korean esports organization DRX on June 15, 2025, the team announced the decision to moveLakiato its inactive roster.
This is IGZIST’s first Valorant roster
IGZISTwas first announced on June 27, 2025. The team mainly consists offormer players fromBlackBird Ignisthat competed in the Japanese region until the squad was let go on June 27, 2025.
IGZIST will compete in VCT Stage 1 Japan when the open qualifiers kick off on Jun 07, 2025.
