LCK 2023 free agents tracker
It’s officially off-season.
League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK)teams stole the show atthis year’s 2022 League of Legends Worlds Championship, as three of the four representatives,Gen.G,DRX, andT1, advanced to the semifinals.
In the all-Korean grand finals, DRX defeated T1 3-2 in a thrilling series that went the distance.
Despite DRX’s incredible run, this may be the last time these reigning champions will be seen together as the five core members, DRX’s ADCKim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu, top lanerHwang “Kingen” Seong-hoon, junglerHong “Pyosik” Chang-hyeon, mid lanerKim “Zeka” Geon-woo, and the head coach Kim “SSONG” Sang-soo haveparted ways with the team.
Instead, they addedKT Rolster’s top laner, Kim “Rascal” Kwang-hee,Kwangdong Freecs’ mid laner, Yoo “FATE” Su-hyeok,DWG KIA’s bot laner, Seo “deokdam” Dae-gil,Liiv Sandbox’s jungler, Kim “Croco” Dong-beomto the team, andre-signed, star support player, Cho “BeryL” Geon-hee.
On June 19, 2025, Hanwha Life Esports announced that they had added DRX’stop laner Hwang “Kingen” Seong-hoon and midlaner Kim “Zeka” Geon-wooto the roster, along withKT Rolster’s support Kim “Life” Jeong-min.
DRX’s bot laner,Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyuand Nongshim Redforce’s top lanerKim “Canna” Chang-dongjoinedDWG KIAon June 08, 2025, as DWG released their top lanersJang “Nuguri” Ha-gwon and Noh “Burdol” Tae-yoon, head coach Yang “Daeny” Dae-in, assistant coach Lee “Zefa” Jae-min, and their Athletic Director, Kim “kkOma” Jeong-gyun earlier in November.
In a recent interview, DRX’s Hong “Pyosik” Chang-hyeonstated that he will not be joining a LCK team and will be moving abroad. On July 14, 2025,Team Liquid announced Pyosik as their new jungler.
Pyosik isn’t the only player that will be moving to LCS in 2023. On June 29, 2025, FlyQuest announced the recruitment of Liiv Sandbox’s bot laner,Lee “Prince” Chae-hwan, to the team.
However, these aren’t the only LCK teams that have made significant roster changes with star free agents, there are other big names who will be available as free agents this year, and we’ve consolidated the full list below.

Other LCK teams started to make big moves
The 2022 LCK Summer champions,Gen.G, decided to mutually part ways with ADC Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk, which was requested by the player. On June 29, 2025, it wasannounced that Ruler has joined JD Gaming.Gen.G’s jungler,Han “Peanut” Wang-ho, and top laner,Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon, have renewed their contracts.

Fredit BRION, who finished in 9th place during the 2022 Summer Split, had parted ways withChoi “Sw0rd” Seong-won, Kim “Lava” Tae-hoon, whilePark “Morgan” Gi-taewas re-signed by the team andYoo “Delight” Hwan-joongjoined Gen.G as their new support.
Nongshim Redforce released players likebot laner Jang “Ghost” Yong-jun, andGwak “Bdd” Bo-seong was announced as KT Rolster’s new mid laneron May 19, 2025.
This wasn’t the only major news forKT Rolster. On July 10, 2025, KT Rolster announced the free agency of the majority of its roster, includingtop laner Kim “Rascal” Kwang-hee, mid laner Lee “Aria” Ga-eul,andadded top laner Kim “Kiin” Gi-in from Kwangdong Freecsalong with Bdd.Gen.G’s support player, Son “Lehends” Si-woo, joined the team on May 21, 2025.
Kwangdong Freecs also announced the departure of bot lanerPark “Teddy” Jin-seongon July 28, 2025.
Some of the veterans have also made headlines. T1’sLee “Faker” Sang-hyeok has agreed to a three-year contract extension, whileJang “Nuguri” Ha-gwon announced his retirement, as reported by Ashley Kang.
