The top eight teams of the LCS will fight to represent the NA region at the 2021 World Championship (Worlds 2021).
What is the LCS 2021 Championship Playoffs?
The Championship Playoffs is the final regional tournament of the 2021 LCS season, and replaces the league’s previous Summer Playoffs format.
With the league’s best eight teams gearing up for more competition, the tournament will decide the three teams that will represent North America in Worlds 2021 later this year.

Format of the LCS 2021 Championship Playoffs
The LCS 2021 Championship Playoffs follows a double-elimination format with all teams competing in best-of-five matches.
For team seeding in this format, the top two seeds get a bye, and will face the Round 1 winners in Round 2. The 7th and 8th seeds will start in the lower bracket, and will face the Round 1 losers.
LCS 2021 Championship Playoffs prize pool
The Championship will have a US$200,000 prize pool that will be split among the top performing teams in the tournament.
Aside from the prize pool, the tournament will also determine the three teams that will represent the NA region in Worlds 2021.

With the new LCS format carrying over team records from Spring, the LCS Championship will take eight teams with the best season records.
