The 15th IESF WEC Asia Qualifier forMobile Legends: Bang Bangdetermines who will represent the region in the upcoming World Esports Championship, scheduled to take place next month in Romania.

Eight teams from all around Asia will compete for five slots.

The Philippines’ SIBOL squad, consisting ofAP Bren‘s MPL PH roster, will be participating. Another team to watch out for is the Cambodian squad formed by MPL KH champions,BURN X Flash.

Additionally, newcomers Bangladesh, Nepal, Mongolia, and Kazakhstan will also be partaking in the qualifier, aiming to make their mark on the MLBB scene.

What is the 15th IESF WEC Asia Qualifier?

The IESF WEC Asia Qualifier serves as the official tournament to determine the five Asian representatives who will compete in the prestigious 15th IESF World Esports Championship in Iași, Romania.

The four day qualifier will be held offline at the Riyadh Boulevard in Saudi Arabia.

It will also have a USD12,500 prize pool.

15th IESF WEC Asia Qualifier format

The tournament consists of a group stage, last chance, and playoffs.

In the group stage, eight countries are divided into two groups, with four countries in each group. The teams will compete in a single round-robin format in best-of-three matches.

IESF 2022 World Esports Championship Fire Stage

The top two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs, while the third-placed teams will enter the last chance stage.

In the last chance stage, the third-placed teams from the group stage compete in a best-of-three showdown. The winner of this stage will secure a spot in the 15th IESF WEC.

The playoffs will follow a double-elimination format. All matches in the playoffs will be a best-of-three, except for the grand final which will be a best-of-five.

July 11 (Tuesday)

Cambodia has secured a slot at the 15th IESF World Esports Championship.

The United Arab Emirates has been eliminated from the tournament.

Kazakhstan has secured a slot at the 15th IESF World Esports Championship.

Bangladesh has been eliminated from the tournament.
