Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional LeaguePhilippines Season 9 (MPL PH Season 9) is the first official Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament in the country this year.
FromECHO creating the season’s super teamto theiconic duo of Blacklist International taking a breakfor one season, MPL PH Season 9 has a lot of storylines worth telling.
Here are all the participating teams at the upcoming MPL PH Season 9.
Full roster of every team competing in MPL PH Season 9
Blacklist International
Blacklist International will enter MPL PH Season 9 without its iconic duo, Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” and Daenerie James “Wise” Del Rosario.
However, the M3 World Champions have put back some familiar faces in the main lineup along with Kent Xavier “KEVIER” Lopez, the newest member of the squad.
ONIC PH
ONIC PH were the only team to retain their roster for MPL PH Season 9. Their head coachDenver “Coach Yeb” Mirandastated that he still has faith in the current lineup and has no plans to spice things up this season.
It’s exciting to see just how the hedgehog squad will perform this season, considering that their rival Blacklist International will not have Wise and OhMyV33nus on their roster.
Omega Esports
Omega Esports included two new amateur standouts in their roster, a move which has worked well for them in previous seasons. Such players include Duane “Kelra” Pillas and Dean Christian “Raizen” Sumagui, who performed exceptionally well during their rookie seasons with the team.
With a perfect blend of veterans and rising stars in their roster, Omega Esports are looking like a legitimate contender in the league.
ECHO
Contrary to ONIC PH’s mindset going into the season, ECHO made a lot ofexplosive changesfor the upcoming season. The biggest has to be the arrival of M2 World Championship MVPKarl “KarlTzy” Nepomucenoon the team.
Many analysts are saying that ECHO is undoubtedly a super team coming into MPL PH Season 9. But will the team’s chemistry be calibrated in time before the season begins?
RSG PH
RSG PH added sophomores Dylan “Light” Catipon and Clarense “Kousei” Camilo from TNC to their lineup this season. While the changes were not massive on paper, RSG PH already had high firepower last season. These few adjustments could be what were needed to elevate their game even further.
The addition of Light and Kousei will surely give fresh perspectives to the already veteran squad in the upcoming season.
Bren Esports
Bren Esports were forced to make a ton of adjustments after CJ “Ribo” Ribo Jr.’s departure, and KarlTzy leaving the team to join ECHO.
Instead of getting veteran players from other MPL teams, the M2 World Champions instead recruited someArkAngel players, an amateur team,to bolster their lineup. While we may consider the M2 champs to be in the rebuilding stage, there is still a big chance that this refurbished team will go deep into the regular season.
TNC
TNC finished last at MPL PH Season 8, forcing the team to go back to the drawing board. During the offseason, they dropped the majority of their lineup except for Daniel “SDzyz” Chu and Ben “Benthings” Maglaque.
Fielding four rookies in a six-man lineup, TNC looks to start from the ground up and develop a foundation this season before showing what the team is really capable of.
Nexplay EVOS
Nexplay EVOS lost Tristian “Yawi” Cabrera in the offseason, marking the end of the big three era in the organization ever since it entered the scene in MPL PH Season 6.
With that, it enlisted five rookies to fill in the gap left by James “Jeymz” Gloria and Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya. Despite Nexplay EVOS’ young lineup, the veterans left are sure to give it their all And hopefully bring pride and joy to fans at MPL PH Season 9.
