Move aside K/DA, for a new boyband skinline is about to heat up theLeague of Legendscharts.
Theofficial Riot Games Music accounton X tweeted “We’re working on it” with an image that shows the desk of a mysterious music producer working on new tunes.
In the background lies a gold record, a form of music recording certification given to artistes who sell a significant number of albums, singles, or music videos. Combined with the keyboard, mixer pad, and laptop, clearly this person is hard at work.
The biggest clues are penned down in their notebook, which shows six enthusiastic male characters with the words “…wanna be a star, Rockstar” written on the post-it.
Upcoming Boyband skinline to debut during Worlds 2023?
Many League of Legends fans zoomed into the drawing and tried to decipher which champions they refer to.
Skin Spotlights revealed on Twitterthat the two squabbling at the top of the page are Kayn and Yone, while Ezreal and K’Sante chat on the side. The big guy flexing his muscles and six pack is Sett, while the emo boy at the bottom is Aphelios.
The channel confirmed that Kayn, Yone, Ezreal, and Sett skins will also be available in Wild Rift. In addition, Kayn’s skin will be Legendary, while Yone comes with a Prestige Edition, his first.
Riot Games officially made their announcement about Heartsteel on October 16, confirming the above details.
Worlds 2023 takes place from October 10 to November 19, so if anything, the new boyband skinline is likely to debut this month. Its members could possibly perform new pop music from Riot Games, similar to digital groupTrue Damage, who performed at Worlds 2019, andK/DA at Worlds 2018andWorlds 2020.
True Damage is a virtual hip-hop group comprising Ekko (Thutmose, Duckwrth), Senna (Keke Palmer), and Qiyana (Becky G), K/DA’s rapper Akali (Soyeon of (G)I-dle), and Yasuo who is “in charge of production”.
K/DA’s Evelynn and Kai’Sa are voiced by Madison Beer and Jaira Burns, while Ahri and Akali are voiced by (G)I-dle members Miyeon and Soyeon respectively. (Yes, Akali is so special that she gets to be part of two music groups.)
