Pro players react to Rekkles joining G2 Esports

G2 Esports has finally confirmed that it has signed former Fnatic superstar Martin “Rekkles” Larsson. G2 made the announcement afterparting wayswith its Croatian bot laner Luka “Perkz” Perković.
“Maybe you thought I’d stay in Fnatic forever,” said Rekkles in G2’s roster announcement. “But I’m ready for a new challenge and grateful for everything you’ve given me. I promised I would win Worlds. And I will.”
Everyone was shocked at the bold decision that Rekkles made, especially since he has been playing for Fnatic since 2012. G2 Esports themselves still find it odd to type in “G2 Rekkles” in their posts.

His former teammates top laner Gabriël “Bwipo” Rau and his bot lane duo partner Zdravets “Hylissang” Iliev Galabov both wished him the best in his decision to join G2. Bwipo in particular is thrilled to play against Rekkles now that he’s playing for a different team.
With that all said and done, G2 Rekkles is something I’m excited to play against. I’ve only ever had the chance to appreciate his gameplay from one perspective. Now I will have the chance to see it from another.All the best to Rekkles and G2, it’ll be a banger of a year.
