The victory marked Team Flash’s first championship win after three seasons of RSG SG dominating the competition.
This came off as a surprise to many, for the team underwent significant roster changes this season, with both seasoned players and fresh talents coming together to challenge some of the league’s more established teams.
With the win, Team Flash now takes on the role of Singapore’s sole representative in the upcomingMobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Invitational 2023(MPLI 2023), where they face an even greater challenge.
Just how strong is Team Flash heading into MPLI 2023?
This marks the team’s first appearance in an international MLBB tournament.
At the forefront of their campaign is Bellamy “Lolsie” Yeov, a standout player loaned from RSG SG.
He is joined byAdam “Adammir” Chong, formerly of Bleed Esports EXP lane, and Jaymark “Hadess” Lazaro, previously a jungler for Geek Fam and a Filipino import.
Notably, Lolsie and Adammir bring a wealth of international experience to the team, having competed in the M-series. They also clinched numerous MPL SG titles throughout their careers.
Hadess, despite lacking major titles before this season, has emerged as a pivotal driving force behind the team’s success.
His exceptional contributions were recognized when he received the Week 4 MVP award. He further solidified his impact by earning the grand final MVP title.
Hadess left such a profound impression that it prompted Coach Eugene “Kayzeepi” Kong to humorously request MPL SG host Cheryl Yao to root for “Hadess Esports” rather than “Team Flash” when they celebrated their championship victory.
Team Flash not only possesses incredible individual talent but also excels in maintaining their composure, even when facing adversity in a game.
This was particularly evident during the grand final, where they executed a remarkable comeback to secure victories in games five and six.
This resilience, combined with their exceptional macro play and Hadess’ extensive hero pool, solidifies their status as a formidable Singaporean team.
