Road to MPLI 2023: The time is now for See You Soon to propel Cambodia’s momentum

See You Soon will once again represent Cambodia on the international stage, this time at theONE Esports Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Invitational 2023 (MPLI 2023).
The team defeated CFU Gaming in a thrilling grand final in MPL Cambodia Autumn 2023 to qualify for MPLI 2023 as well asM5 World Championship.
Going to MPLI, See You Soon will aim to continue the strides that Cambodian MLBB has made in the recent past.
The country hosted both the32nd Southeast Asian GamesandMLBB Southeast Asia Cup 2023earlier this year, where its representatives put up impressive performances.
How strong is See You Soon heading to MPLI 2023?
The Cambodian squad is no stranger to joining major international tournaments, having competed inMPLI 2021, M2 World Championship, and MSC 2022.
For the upcoming MPLI, the team will be fielding a mix of Cambodian veterans and Filipino imports.
Seasoned roamer Sok “Boxi” Viera, EXP laner Leng “Felix” Kimhak, and mid laner Sovann “RAA” Chanmakara have been representing the team for a long time. Notably, BOXI and FELIX led SYS to the MPL Cambodia Season 1 championship two years ago.
Joining them are gold laner Clarense Jay “Kousei” Camilo and jungler Michael “MP the King” Endino from the Philippines.
The two Filipinos quickly made a big impact in the latest MPL Cambodia season. Their contributions were evident during their team’s playoff run, where Kousei was named game MVP four times and MP the King twice.
As a team, See You Soon has shown remarkable resilience throughout MPL KH Autumn.
Finishing third in the regular season, they went on to beat PRO Esports in a do-or-die series. Then, they brought down powerhouses BURN x FLASH and CFU Gaming in the upper bracket.
In the finals rematch against CFU, SYS lost in game six, but bounced back hard in game seven to clinch the title.
