The 23-year-old helped Liquid qualify for theplayoffs, but the team unfortunately failed to make it toMasters Copenhagenafter losses toFunPlus PhoenixandM3 Championsin the playoffs.

That said, few expected the Lithuanian player to stay on with the team. Dreamas officially announced his free agency onTwitter, saying that he was looking for a new team to represent.

Team Liquid are in need of a new fifth

In a TwitLonger post, Dreamas thanked Liquid and its staff for giving him the opportunity to play with the team.

“I had to play a brand new, very passive, heavy support role and in a very short period of time I worked a lot and learned a lot about it,” he said. “In my eyes, I did a good job with the given circumstances.”

He added that he would be returning to his main sentinel role, but would continue to work on the flex or support role and his mid-round calling. The former LDN UTD player had mainly played sentinels like Killjoy, Cypher, andChamber, before expanding his pool to agents like Breach and Sage with Liquid.

This means that Liquid find themselves short of one player ahead of the EMEA Last Chance Qualifier in August. Former Acend starAleksander “zeek” Zygmuntwas recentlymoved to the benchas well, and fans have already begun speculating that he could be Liquid’s fifth man.

Liquid are also in need of a new coach, after longtime coach Connor “Sliggy” Blomfield chose to step down in May. The team is already working with someone new, although they have yet to make a formal announcement. Dreamas also alluded to this “secret coach” in his post.

The EMEA LCQ will be Liquid’s last chance to qualify forValorant Champions. At Champions last year, the team made a deep run to the semifinals, before losing to eventual winners Acend.
