The best perk packages to use in Warzone 2.0
No customization for now.
Warzone 2.0reworks several key mechanics in Call of Duty’s hit battle royale. It introduces a newcircle mechanic, a2v2 Gulagthat lets you work together with your opponents, and even anew armor plating system.
Perks are also seeing some big changes. You can no longer customize your own perk package and choose them individually.
Instead, the 17 perks in the game have been sorted into various combinations of eight perk packages. You’ll have to pick one that best suits your playstyle, even if it’s not necessarily the exact selection you want.
Here’s a look at the best perk packages to use in Warzone 2.0.
All Warzone 2.0 perks
As in Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, the perks have been sorted into Base, Bonus, and Ultimate perks. Base perks are active when the match starts, Bonus perks activate after four minutes, and Ultimate perks kick in after eight minutes.
Each perk package comprises two Base perks, one Bonus perk, and one Ultimate perk.
Here are the eight Warzone 2.0 perk packages:
Specter
Ghost remains one of the best perks in the game, particularly in Al Mazrah. It hides you from UAVs, portable radars, and heartbeat sensors, making it easier to avoid detection and get the drop on opponents.
Concealing your location is everything in a battle royale game, particularly if you favor taking a slower approach to the game.
Spotter and Tracker are useful perks as well, allowing you to scout out buildings before entering and sniff out retreating enemies.
Finally, Double Time could help you make a quick escape or engage more quickly. It could also prove vital when flanking opponents, allowing you to get into position faster.
Weapon Specialist
Weapon Specialist is another strong pick. It is the only perk package to feature Overkill, ramping up the firepower you bring onto the battlefield.
This means you can wield both a sniper rifle and a closer-range SMG, allowing you to tackle a wide range of engagements.
While Strong Arm isn’t the most useful perk, the package makes up for that with Spotter and Survivor. Survivor, in particular, may prove valuable in helping you get out of a pinch, making it easier for your squad to rescue you after you get downed.
Vanguard
Vanguard has several useful perks for maneuvering out of a tight situation. In addition to the extra agility you get from Double Time, it also comes with Bomb Squad, which can save you from a pesky claymore or other explosives.
Resupply lets you secure buildings with additional Lethal equipment that recharges over time, while High Alert will give you a heads-up if someone is watching.
However, you’ll still need to keep your guard up. If enemies have the Cold-Blooded perk equipped, they will not trigger a High Alert warning.
