After the experiencing the exhilaration of the recentMPLI 2021 tournamentin November, fans will be treated to anotherMobile Legends: Bang Banginvitational soon.
Moonton and ONE Esports have teamed up once again to host the MLBB Women’s Invitational (MWI 2022).
The tournament will pit the best women-led Southeast Asian Mobile Legends teams against each other.
What is the MLBB Women’s Invitational (MWI 2022)?
MWI 2022 is an upcoming online Mobile Legends tournament, focused on female pro players in the scene. It aims to “celebrate female strength and empowerment” according to Managing Director of Global Esports, MOONTON Games Lucas Mao.
Themed #InControl, the MLBB Women’s Invitational 2022 will kick off on Jul 03, 2025 with a total prize pool of US$15,000.
“At ONE Esports, our mission is to share and celebrate the stories of esports heroes who ignite the world with hope, strength, dreams, and inspiration,” said ONE Espots CEO Carlos Alimurung. “MWI was launched to celebrateinspirational female heroes and give them a platform to showcase their talents. Creating opportunities for women throughout the esports ecosystem will allow the community to flourish.”
Teams participating at MWI 2022
MWI‘s format will follow the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup tournament, where the ten participating teams will be divided into two groups via random allocation.
Fans will be seeing teams from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand, including Bren Esports, OMEGA Esports, IDONOTSLEEP (IDNS), and Impunity Esports.
Each team will be ranked based on the total accumulated points from their respective matches, and the top four teams in each group will proceed to the playoffs.
