They’re back! AP Bren conquers MPL PH Season 12 in intense grand final

The return of the M2 Champions.

After enduring five seasons of struggling to secure a spot on the MPL PH podium, theM2 world championshave made a triumphant return to the top!

AP Bren has won theMobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines Season 12(MPL PH Season 12) following a 4-1 victory over Blacklist International in the grand final.

This championship win marks the organization’s second championship in the league. Their previous grand final victory was against Omega Esports in Season 6.

AP Bren was the first team to reach the grand final after defeating RSG PH and Blacklist International in the upper bracket.

Following their loss to Bren in the upper bracket, the Codebreakers had to work their way through the lower bracket, where they eliminated the defending champions, ECHO, in the lower bracket final to secure a rematch with Bren in the grand final.

Bren Esports dominated the first two games of the series, led by the duo Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo and Marco “Super Marco” Requitiano.

Super Marco achieved a perfect 4/0/4 KDA onBrody, contributing to their 9-2 kill score in the first game, while Owgwen finished with a commendable 3/2/11 KDA onMathildain game two.

Blacklist International turned the tide in the third game, primarily thanks to their last pick,Ixia, for Kiel “OHEB” Soriano. Despite Bren’s offensive-oriented lineup consisting ofMartis,X.Borg, andBeatrix, the Ixia pick could not be countered — OHEB finished with a perfect 11/0/2 KDA.

This success was aided by the support heroes Faramis and Mathilda, who ensured his survival in team fights.

AP Bren regained composure in game four by drafting burst damage heroesMartisandArlott. They finished with a 7-2 kill score in just 15 minutes of play.

Blacklist attempted to turn the tide in game five by selecting Stephen “Sensui” Castillo’sJungle Popol and KupaandBruno.

However, Bren stuck with their winning combination of Martis and Arlott, and addedRubyto the mix for extra crowd control.

Despite Blacklist gaining a significant advantage in the mid to late game, even managing to destroy the midlane turret, it was AP Bren who found a game-changing play.

They wiped out four members of Blacklist in the Lord pit at the 20-minute mark. With only Edward “Edward” Dapadap left, who was onBenedetta, AP Bren swiftly went to the midlane to finish the game and conclude the series on a high note.

For his efforts in the EXP lane, David “FlapTzy” Canon was awarded the grand final MVP.

In addition to earning a spot at theM5 World Championship, AP Bren will also claim the lion’s share of the US$150,000 prize pool.
