VCT Masters Tokyo format

The 12 teams were split into two groups. The winners of the international leagues advance to the playoffs, while the rest begin their run in the group stage. Since the EMEA region has four representatives for winning VCT LOCK//IN, the runner-up squad will advance to the playoffs.

The eight teams outside of the playoffs will go through a double-elimination group stage, with each group playing in a four-team double-elimination bracket. The top two teams with the best record from each group will advance to the playoffs.
