Getting a visual and gameplay update (VGU) in League of Legends means a new set of splashart for all Skarner skins.
The crystal scorpion from the Shurima Desert received a full makeover from Riot Games, packed with improved gameplay, new spells that lets him ignore terrain, skillshots, and the chance to Impale up to three targets with his ultimate.

Earthrune Skarner
First release:June 14, 2025
Riot Games announced an update to the Earthrune Skarner skin, upgrading its quality to Deluxe to align with current standards.
As a result, its price will be adjusted accordingly. If you already own Earthrune Skarner, you will receive this upgrade at no additional cost.
If you don’t own it yet, you may purchase it before the update goes live for 520 RP.
Sandscourge Skarner

Battlecast Alpha Skarner
