Using the Ionian swordsman, he pulled a Houdini and made a nail-biting escape from EG during in the early game. Fans were impressed by his perfectly-timed movement and efficient use of Yasuo’s abilities, proving that he is, indeed, the European region’s greatest mid laner.

CaPs established his dominance early in the game in a 1v1 mid lane fight againstJoseph Joon “jojopyun” Pyun‘s Twisted Fate. Philippe “Vulcan” Laflamme’s Tahm Kench came in to help the rookie mid laner near the 5-minute mark, but the pair was no match against the agile champion.

Everything was carefully calculated by caPs, who benefited from his fully stacked Conqueror rune, which was enough to sustain him in the long escape despite taking one turret shot.

After taking down jojopyun, caPs found himself in a tricky position between Vulcan and EG’s turret. He began his great escape by repositioning himself, casting Sweeping Blade onto a nearby minion, dodging Tahm Kench’s Tongue Lash.

Kacper “Inspired” Słoma’s Viego arrived at the scene thinking they could secure the trade kill, but the G2 player managed to dodge all of EG’s skillshots.

The G2 mid laner then pulled their attention towards their top side jungle. Even though his moment was slowed by Vulcan, he successfully ended his stunt with a help from the Raptor camp, using these jungle creeps to dash to safety of the tier-two turret.

CaPs’ impressive play helped G2 gain a head start, finishing strong at 39 minutes, with the mid laner having a near-perfect 10/1/9 KDA. This victory brings the LEC representative to the next stage of the competition after a clean5-0 record in the Group Stage.
